Ugh, all my stories start sounding like my life. I wonder sometimes if the drugs make my life just seem less exciting than it is. Sometimes I want to claw the hypo out of my neck, but that might be considered crazy and land me in the nuthatch.
So, isn’t it just boring to say that I Control-V’ed my handwriting into this blog? Just because it’s new to me, I just grabbed it, but everyone else’s been doing it for weeks. Everyone, that is, in the widespread community of
I feel nervous about so casually picking up new technologies these days. I’ll stick to the tried and true, like the glitchy 3d printer by the jukebox. Which by the way i’ve redicrected teh store’s music, but surprise, surprise, they have their own speakers blasting the g_______ beats. AAARGH! It’s hard enough to focus on something over the neck-drip, as I’ve begun thinking of my new drug adminitration system (thanks, so much, Pops!). I can’t even drown out these blues with my Skullcandy because the subwoofer vibrates my butt through the wooden bench I’m sitting at. So I move around to the other side of the table, sit on a wooden chair. The f_____ beats vibrate up through the wooden planks, through the wooden chair, to my spinal cord, and I can’t drown it out with my new Fight Bite!
I ask Jolie if I can leave some flyers for Clarion West on the counter by the front door. She says sure. She lets me take $2 out of the tip jar to print a chair that might be less sound conductive. She knows I’m good for it. I haven’t left her hanging yet.

I just tried to Control-V my handwriting onto the page. That probably belongs in my new novel! Here are the opening lines!

I’m not digging this endless blues music. I found out it’s a Pandora station that was on when the barista came in and that they haven’t bothered to change yet. No wonder it all sounds exactly the same. I’ll have to leave soon. And not so much because of the assassin in the corner as because I’d rather listen to Fight Bite.

Fight Bite.

I love this new album! Reminiscent of the Bee-Gees at their best, but dreamier and softer and less beat-y. I hope their next album has even more filthy beats!

2012 Clarion West Write-a-thon

I’m participating in Clarion West’s Write-a-thon this year. If you want to help this great organization, sponsor me! It’s a non-profit, so all donations are tax-deductible. If you’re employed, maybe your company does matching gifts or something . . . ?

Everyone who sponsors me to the tune of $50 or more will get something special from me in the mail!
